We partnered with Step Zero to create a resource hub that helps social media creators accelerate the adoption of impactful climate solutions. Together, we aim to reach 1 billion social media users with sustainability content by 2027.

What is Step Zero?

83% of consumers believe social media can help them learn how to live sustainably.

Many creators, however, are reluctant to meet that demand for fear that they are unqualified and ill-equipped to tackle such an important topic.

Step Zero is a not-for-profit initiative that provides expertly curated resources for creators who want to guide their audiences along an authentic path to a more sustainable lifestyle.

Their approach is backed by leading authorities such as the IPCC and Project Drawdown, focusing on actions in areas like Food, Transportation, and Energy to enable a reduction in emissions.

With a focus on authenticity, accuracy, and collaboration, Step Zero guides creators through the principles of good climate communication, helping them avoid misinformation and greenwashing to use their platform to promote actions which benefit our planet.

Our partnership

A collaborative initiative, Step Zero is owned and run by Count Us In, a charity that brings people and organisations together to take high impact steps to address climate change.

exceptional™ first partnered with Count Us In in 2023, beginning work on Step Zero in 2024. The goal of the project is to increase the content on social media that promotes sustainable choices or lifestyles, ultimately influencing mainstream change at a consumer level.

Together, we aim to reach 1 billion social media users with sustainability content by 2027.

The exceptional™ impact

We thoroughly enjoyed partnering with exceptional™ to create the Step Zero Library. The Library was a first of its kind, built from scratch, and exceptional™ helped us turn our concept into reality!

Every part of the process was smooth, not to mention the friendly, collaborative and competent team, who delivered a final product within a tight timeframe. We also learnt a lot along the way. Thank you for everything!
